His work has been exhibited in a number of acclaimed solo exhibitions, including The Courtyard in Hereford, Freud on Shaftesbury Avenue in London, and alongside works by Damien Hirst. Revelations brings together a carefully curated collection of original paintings, each one a unique statement piece bursting with colour and character. Whether you're an art enthusiast, collector, or simply curious, we'd love you to join us for the launch and experience this vibrant new exhibition.

Join us for a summer gathering devoted to soil, food, community and the ecological future of Hay-on-Wye.

After our Family Activities and Community, join us between 2pm-5pm for a FREE ecological film screening followed by a collaborative discussion towards a new food-and-soil plan for Hay-on-Wye.

This aims to bring together local residents, growers, composters, community groups, environmental organisations, land workers and anyone with an interest in the wellbeing of our town and its surrounding landscape. Together, we will begin exploring the future of Hay Regenerative Soils, and what a shared food-and-soil plan for Hay-on-Wye could look like. What ecological challenges are people encountering locally? What valuable work is already taking place? What projects need greater support, visibility or connection? Where could we share resources, knowledge and practical action and what might become possible if we worked more closely together? The discussion will inform our proposed application to the National Lottery Community Fund’s People and Places programme. This substantial funding opportunity requires clear evidence that plans have grown from the knowledge, needs and aspirations of the community. By taking part, you can help influence the direction of the proposal and ensure that local experience, existing projects and potential partnerships are represented from the beginning. We want to build a plan that does not operate in isolation, but supports a connected local ecology of organisations, practitioners and residents. While we cannot promise that every idea will form part of the eventual application, the assembly offers a genuine opportunity to place your priorities on the table, find potential collaborators and help shape the work and resources we seek funding to deliver. This is an opportunity to have your say, introduce your own work or ideas, connect with others and help determine what should be prioritised. We hope the gathering will help identify opportunities for collaboration and consider how a larger, coordinated funding proposal could strengthen ecological work across the area.

Eliza Marshall has made a name for herself as an innately curious and adventurous multi-instrumentalist with a genre-defying, kaleidoscopic sound. Over two decades the award-winning, classically trained flautist and composer has worked with an extraordinary array of artists, orchestras and film composers across the world. A founder member of folk supergroup Ranagri, she has toured internationally with Peter Gabriel’s New Blood Orchestra, recorded with Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Florence and The Machine, First Aid Kit and The White Stripes, performed as a soloist on Hollywood soundtracks including Disney’s Mufasa, Prometheus and Robin Hood, and appeared at Royal Opera Houses in London, Vienna, Hamburg and Brisbane. Expect an intimate, deeply atmospheric evening: songs, stories, spoken word with two of the UK’s most distinctive and innovative songwriter–performers.

 Across the evening, Dan Whitehouse and Polly Paulusma create a shared musical space where song and spoken word blur, and where two distinct voices meet in compelling dialogue. Moving between solo moments and subtle interplay, the set flows from sparse piano and guitar-led songs into more expansive textures, with each artist responding to the other’s work in real time.

 Dan Whitehouse’s work has been described as “Intriguing” and “Gorgeous” **** (The Guardian), and “Unflinching… haunting” (Clash Magazine), marking him out as a songwriter of rare emotional clarity.
His most recent material, Only Love, shaped between England and Japan, explores presence, distance and fatherhood with striking honesty and his back catalogue has been celebrated by Folk On Foot and BBC Radio 6 for Dan’s insight into social history and the human condition.

Since her debut Scissors In My Pocket on One Little Independent Records, Polly Paulusma has built a critically acclaimed body of work spanning songwriting, production and academic research, and has toured internationally including supporting Bob Dylan and Coldplay. Her work has been widely praised, with The Guardian noting “a voice capable of some unexpected twists” and Rolling Stone describing her debut as “an enchanting… intelligent folk pop”. Her recent album Wildfires brings her evolving fusion of spoken word and song to full expression.

An evening shaped by process as much as performance. Both artists draw from the discipline known as ‘morning pages’ writing before the day begins, before the critical voice takes hold.

Rooted in the rich traditions of English and Maritime folk music, Lucy Farrell and Shane Pendergast bring together two distinct yet complementary voices in contemporary folk. A special one-off collaborative tour in the UK.

Lucy Farrell, a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner, is celebrated for her poetic songwriting, unconventional melodies, and the crystalline clarity of her voice. Known for her work with The Furrow Collective, Eliza Carthy and the Wayward Band, and a host of other acclaimed collaborations, Farrell has carved out a singular place in English folk with her elegant, understated tenor guitar and viola arrangements. Her solo work reveals a deep lyricism and a rare ability to make the strange feel familiar, and the familiar feel extraordinary.
 
Shane Pendergast, hailing from Prince Edward Island, Canada, carries forward a long lineage of Maritime storytellers and songkeepers. A troubadour of the East Coast, his plainspoken yet profound songwriting has earned him recognition at folk festivals worldwide, as well as Contemporary Roots Album of the Year at the Music PEI Awards for Second Wind (2021). His 2025 release Winter Grace offers a deeply personal reflection on the joys and hardships of life in the Maritimes.

Innovative folk artist Hannah James reunites with dynamic cellist Toby Kuhn for a series of live shows celebrating their new album, Where All Our Names Belong. Ocean Colour Scene guitarist Steve Cradock is responsible for some of the most distinctive riffs of the past 30 years. The man who gave us signature riffs ignited The Riverboat Song and Hundred Mile High and helped propel OCS to double-platinum glory with Moseley Shoals has been a mainstay of British rock since forming Ocean Colour Scene in 1989 with Simon Fowler, Damon Michella, and Oscar Harrison. OCS played record breaking gigs with Oasis at Knebworth for 250,000 people as Britpop reached its zenith in 1996. He joined Paul Weller’s band in 1992 and has appeared on all of his studio albums, while also joining The Specials in 2014. In his debut tour, Steve will be playing and singing hits from the OCS songbook, and much more.
